BMW Z4M (by BuddyDrive)
E86 Z4M Coupe is a far too over-looked model, IMHO. One of my favorite BMWs. One of the last hold outs of the front-engined Inline-6 sports car paradigm, that so many cars used to be a part of. The Martini livery is a nice touch.
Lighter and a purer sports car than a 2+2 M3, and the last of the old-school ///M cars, when the Motorsports division held to their preference for well-tuned, healthy, perfectly balanced, and purely responsive atmospheric inline-6 engines, rather than just adding more pistons for additional power to combat additional weight (V8s and V10s), or introducing lag, heat, and complication with turbochargers and direct fuel injection high pressure fuel pumps.
As BMWs go… I would prefer a Z4M coupe as a sports car. But sadly… it doesn’t surpass my preference for a Porsche Cayman or Boxster, with it’s mid-engine chassis advantage.
Or going full ‘selfish’, and getting a nice BMW motorcycle for only me, and no frequent passengers, like an R1200S, or a K1200R-Sport.
